We were able to work alongside Hopper Construction Company on this green build bohemian ranch in Chapel Hill. The homeowners had a vision of a warm palette, open concept home that blurred the lines between outdoor and indoor spaces. This home is nestled in the woods, and they were sure to enhance the nature around them as much as possible.

We were called onto this project before construction began (something we always recommend for new build clients!), so we were able to collaborate with the homeowners to ensure that their flooring encompassed their vision. We opted for a custom concrete mix - tan substrate with river rock aggregate. While minimal exposure, industrial looks are the top trend at the moment, we love a full exposure polished concrete floor. There is so much interest up close, but still a beautiful uniformity.

This home has polished concrete throughout. It’s an excellent flooring choice for any room and extremely versatile in a design sense. The various colors in the aggregate makes the floor the perfect compliment for nearly any color scheme.
